ABOUT seven prominent Nigerians have added another feather to their caps as the are listed among the 100 Most Reputable Africans in the year 2020. They include Cardinal Francis Arinze, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments from 2002 to 2008, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former finance minister of Nigeria, who is currently in the race for the top job of the World Trade Organisation.
Also in the list are Akinwumni Adesina, president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Tony Ojobo, former director, Public Affairs of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); Femi Otedola, former chairman of Forte Oil; Folurunso Alakija, billionaire business woman, who is ranked by Forbes as the richest Nigerian woman and Paul Eneche, founder Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
2020 Most Reputable Africans
The list of 100 Most Reputable Africans, which was released on Monday, July 27, by www.reputationpoll.com and made available to Realnews also had Vera Songwe, the executive secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, UNECA, Abiy Ahmed, prime minister of Ethiopia, who recently won a Noble Peace prize; Angelique Kidjo, four-time grammy award winner and Beninese song writer, and the outspoken Afrikana C. Quao, former AU ambassador to United States.
Others on the list are Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, Caloes Lopes, professor in the Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town and former Executive Secretary of the UNECA, and Michelle Ndiaye, Director of the Africa Peace and Security Programme in collaboration with the African Union Commission at the Institute for Peace and Security Studies, IPSS, and the head of the Tana Forum Secretariat and Amina C. Mohammed, is a Kenyan Lawyer and a diplomat who is also in the race for the WTO top job.
