PDP-rally-logoThe Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Thursday, nominated the former National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo for the post of Deputy National Chairman (South) ahead of the forthcoming PDP national convention.

Oladipo emerged as the sole candidate at a meeting held at the State PDP Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries including the party’s 2018 governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In his opening remarks, the party chairman, Sunday Bisi, explained that the PDP leader in South West, Governor Seyi Makinde, informed him of the party’s decision to zone the position to Osun State.

Explaining the choice of the state chapter of the party, Bisi, said, “With adequate requisite experience in party administration at the national level, it is our belief that Prof. Wale Oladipo is eminently qualified for this post and we will support him.

“Oladipo has duly contacted necessary structures of our party and we find no reason not to support him. Charity, they say, begins at home. I charge great leaders of our party in Osun State to throw their weight behind this project for the good of our party and great people of Osun State.”
