Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has debunked a story by an online medium (not DFC News) tagged, “ARMED AIR FORCE PERSONNEL STORM LAGOS AIRPORT AFTER EMBARRASSING VIDEOS EXPOSING CORRUPTION” describing it as untrue.

A press statement signed by Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager Corporate Affairs said “in contrast to a story broadcasted by an online news medium, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to inform the general public that the Nigerian Air Force did not invade the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as wrongly stated.

“What took place was a routine Security operation by a Joint Aviation Security Task Force comprising personnel from Aviation Security (Avsec), Department of Security Services (DSS) and Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to rid the airport of touts and miscreants, in accordance with Standards and Recommended Practices.

She noted that “FAAN is committed to her core values of Safety, Security and Comfort.”
