Pro-Tinubu group seeks support in Edo ahead 2023 election

2023 PresidencyTHE Edo State chapter of Volunteers for Tinubu 2023, has inaugurated a steering committee to pilot its affairs ahead of the general elections.

Members of the group equally called on Nigerians to vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President.

Chairman of the 10-man committee and former member, representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Razaq Bello-Osagie, made the call at a media roundtable, soon after they were inaugurated in Benin, on Saturday.

He explained that the call became necessary because Tinubu represents leadership powered by vision and commitment to development.

Bello-Osagie said, “What we are doing is the hunger for the average person in Nigeria to see the sterling qualities of the former Lagos State Governor as a man who has demonstrated that democracy is the way to go right from the NADECO days till now.

“Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is a political colossus, a Czar in politics and a man who has demonstrated the new definition of what democracy should be, and so should be giving opportunity to build the country especially in the area of security and economy with a common objective to restore and integrate our country among comity of nations as well as to see that the quality of lives of our people improve.”

Earlier, convener of the group, Adetutu Owolabi in her welcome address, noted that the objective of the project was to assist Nigerians make an informed choice especially with respect to the Presidential polls.

She said, “We are a group of Nigerians, who share the vision of Tinubu becoming the president in 2023. The group views are issue-based devoid of mudslinging. In other words, highlighting the ability of the contestant as against the traditional method of campaign of calumny.”

Delivering a lecture titled: “Why Tinubu Should Be The Next President”, the Guest Lecturer, Dr. Agbadua Bamidele, said Tinubu’s credentials and cut-like followership makes him stand head above shoulders of others who have shown interest in the job.
