Katsina Deputy Governor blames country’s woes on global economic turndown

The Deputy Governor of Katsina State, QS Mannir Yakubu, has blamed the insecurity and economic challenges experienced in the state and the nation at large on the global economic downturn.

He noted that despite concerted efforts being put in by the Federal and the state governments, the ugly trends has continued

Mannir made the remark at a press conference on Friday, while unveiling his development agenda for the state if he emerges as the next Governor of Katsina State in the next political dispensation.

To nib the situation in the bud, Mannir said there is need for a disruptive thinking that will provide a sustainable solution that can reverse the negative trend and bring Katsina State back on a sound track of social and economic development.
