Recent trending posters hailing the Executive Chairman, Isuikwuato Local Government, Abia state, Hon. Chima Agbaeze as “Game Changer,” is eye catching and also raises curiousity.

The first reasonable question anyone will ask is what has he changed or what is he changing.

Again that poster may be a signal to the next level. Whichever way, the poster tells us something about the youthful chairman. It is obvious that he is averse to the term ‘Business as Usual’, associated with laid back politicians.

Matshona Dhliwayo captured it when he said that, “In a world full of game players, the only way to set yourself apart is to be a game changer.”

Obviously Hon. Chima Agbaeze must be doing well which prompted the State PDP chairman, Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere to pay him a visit with his entourage recently.

DFCnews checks revealed that the chairman is a grassroot mobilizer, interest articulator and aggregator as well as a consensus builder.

He is also a visionary with eye on the ball. From our crystal ball he obviously will go far in his political career both locally and internationally

DFCnewsng in its own findings discovered some of the work the bubbling and energetic chairman has put in place in the local government within the few years he’s been in office.

His administration has graded rural roads in UUturu, viz: Ndudu road, Isunabo, Achara, among others even as he promised to do more for the people within the remaining months of his stay in office.

It goes without saying that he is a promising youngman who has vowed to make a difference in any given opportunity.

A few paragraphs from his citation in a recent Award he was given tells more about this gangling but budding politician.

The man Chima Agbaeze who has taken the tag, ‘Mr Projects,’ was born into the family of Late Stephen Agbaeze and Mrs Eunice Ngozi Agbaeze of Umuagbagu in Obilohia Autonomous Community, Umuobiala, Isuikwuato LGA.

After his primary school, he proceeded to the famous College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu for his post primary education. As a brilliant child, the young Chima Agbaeze, took his Senior School Certificate Examination and came out with flying colours.

Thereafter, he proceeded to Rivers State Polytechnic for his undergraduate studies, and later obtained the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma certificates in Marketing (Upper Credits).

Not yet done with his academic pursuits at graduate level due to his insatiable penchant and undiluted quest for academic excellence in his chosen field, Hon Agbaeze enrolled for his post graduate studies at the Abia State University, Uturu. He had his Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) and Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Marketing, and was among the best graduated students in his Department that year. Because of his desire to hit the pinnacle of Academics, he enrolled for his Ph.D program with the same prestigious Abia State University, and he is currently a Doctorate student with a (PH.D) Certificate in view.

Hon Agbaeze, after voluntarily resigning from Nigeria Engineering Works Ltd, began a political life on a good note, as his assiduousness and participation in the River State Politics was rewarded with appointment. He worked closely with the Wife of the former River State Governor, and he distinguished himself in service. He is a staunch member of the PDP from beginning of his political journey till date.

Then came the passion to serve his people and contribute his quota for the development and good governance of Isuikwuato LGA through the instruments of government. Hon Chima Agbaeze, came home and joined Abia politics, where he contested to represent Isuikwuato State Constituency under the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in 2015, which he narrowly missed, while he remain committed to the party.

Not done with his passion to write his name with gold in the annals of history of great men in building a better Isuikwuato local government, continued being a loyal party man, and he invested his time and personal resources to consolidate the reign of the People Democratic Party in the local government area. His selfless sacrifices were not left unnoticed as he was rewarded by the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who appointed him as Special Assistant and Special Adviser at different times.

He was equally at one time appointed the Chairman, Isuikwuato local government area Urban Renewal Committee, where he distinguished himself in service.

He is a phenomenal grassroots mobilizer and a team player. His slogan as always is ” We are better and greater together “. And he is always wanting to do more for his people.

As a Youthful politician who knows the value of youth inclusiveness in politics, he founded and funds the “Ekwedasieike Youth Movement” and is serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Equally, he is the Abia State Coordinator, Youth Mobilization for Okezuo Abia, and he at one time mobilized over one million youths in solidarity for PDP government in Umuahia. He is also the Isuikwuato LGA Coordinator, Okezuo Abia Organization.

The dexterity and performance of Hon Chima Agbaeze in handling these positions of responsibilities in the aforementioned political groups, created the visibility and political platform for him to be appointed as a Transition Committee Chairman, Isuikwuato LGA, in 2019 and he excelled.

Following his superlative performance in the previous positions he held in both state and local government, when the local government elections were scheduled to be conducted in December 2020, he showed interest, contested and won his party nomination, and later won the LGA Chairmanship position as he was massively voted by his people to be their Executive Chairman through the polls.”
