Naira scarcity: LASU staff slumps, dies in bank queue

Lagos State University, LASU staff, Ademola Adesola, on Monday, slumped and died while in a queue at a branch of Wema Bank located inside the main campus in the Ojo area of Lagos.

It was reported that the deceased left the office around 11.30am for the bank to withdraw money from his account but slumped some minutes later while waiting.

Confirming the incident on Tuesday, the university head of the Publicity and Public Relations Unit, Jeariogbe Olaniyi, said the Grade Level 13 officer drove himself to the school in the morning.

”The deceased was rushed to the university clinic for attention but all efforts to revive him proved abortive.”

Adesola, in 1986 joined the service of the university as a typist and rose to the Chief Executive Officer (Account) on Grade Level 13.
