No fewer than 15 agents planning to hack the presidential election results have been arrested by the Katsina State Police.
The Command’s spokesman, Gambo Isa said the suspects were arrested with several electronic gadgets, laptops, and tools.
Parading the suspects at the Command’s headquarters on Friday, Isa said investigation into the matter is ongoing.
He said: ”Police are conducting investigations and the outcome will be made clear to everybody.
“We don’t want to jump the gun. We invited experts and they are doing their work to see the system to ascertain actually what is in the place because of its sensitivity.”
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkal Baba, has deployed over 11,000 security operatives to Edo State.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of elections in the state, Ben Okolo, disclosed this to newsmen after a security meeting in Benin City, the state capital.
