Taraba Governor, Agbu sacks Ishaku’s cabinet members, board chairmen, others

Few days after sending the former local government councils’ Caretaker Committee Chairmen packing, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has again dissolved the State Executive council.

The dissolution is with immediate effect.

The directive, which was contained in a press statement issued to journalists in the state capital by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda, did not spare chairmen and members of Boards and Parastatals.

Also not spared are Special Advisers to the immediate past governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku.

The Governor also asked the former Commissioners and the SAs to leave behind their utility vehicles.

The directive, came as a rude shock to the majority of the Commissioners and SAs, as some of them had planned to depart with the utility vehicles.

Unlike some of the former state governors, who dissolved their cabinet before handing over the mantle of leadership to the new governors of their states, the reverse was the case in Taraba.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Timothy Kataps, has been sworn-in by the number one citizen of the state.
