The Labour Party executives were stunned by the multitude who thronged the venue upon knowing that the Nollywood star was present, besieging the Secretariat and chanting “Paul Obazele naim we want as our governor”.
Obazele, a born orator and acclaimed go-getter gave hope to the crowd by charging them to take their future into their hands as the time has finally come, “so that we all can be proud to say we are Edolites”.
He lamented the plight of Edo State where with so many natural and human resources, the citizens are still subjected to dehumanization but assured them that he would not only utilize Edo State allocations to better their lot but also attract quality investors if elected governor.
He stated boldly that he is not deterred by rumours of a plan to turn the Labour Party into a circus of sharing money, but rather stands on the principle of good governance and the right choice of the people which he believes favours him more.
Encouraged by his mission and vision of practicable transformation, the state executives of the Party prayed for him and charged him to make that difference if eventually given the ticket as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.
