Shehu Nadada assumes duty as Nasarawa commissioner of police

Nasarawa State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by CP Shehu Umar Nadada, as the 28th Commissioner of Police in the State.

CP Nadada takes over from CP Maiyaki Mohammed Baba, who retired from the Nigeria Police Force after years of commendable service to the nation.

CP Shehu Umar Nadada, a native of Rano LGA in Kano State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

He holds a (B.Sc. Hons) in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano, and a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U.), Zaria.

His career in the Nigeria Police Force began on May 18, 1992, when he was appointed as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Throughout his career, CP Nadada has served in various capacities, including Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, Nasarawa State Command, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, Nasarawa State Command. He also served as 2ic Area Command, Zaria, Kaduna State Command.

CP Nadada’s career includes roles as Divisional Police Officer in different Divisions in Niger, Ekiti, Kaduna, and Anambra States.

He has also served as a Divisional Crime Officer and Junior Staff Officer in the Niger State Police Command, among other roles.
