Tantita poised to neutralize crude oil theft, advocates use of carbon streaming to help communities

Executive Director, Technical and Operations, Tantita Security Services Limited, Captain Warredi Enisuoh, has restated the commitment of the company to combating crude oil theft, increasing oil production in the country, and improving the lives of communities.
In a paper on infrastructure protection, security, and prevention of oil theft, which he delivered at the Ist PAN- IJAW Economic Summit 2024 in Yenagoa, Captain Warredi said effective security of Nigeria’s public infrastructure and Oil reserves will, to a large extent, enhance the benefits to the people and the country.
Also discussing the benefits of carbon sustainability to improve the lives of citizens, Captain Enisuoh, who was the Guest speaker at the function, said, “With carbon capture, you have a lot of trees in these areas that can absolve CO2 from the atmosphere. If they do not pollute the environment any further, these trees can thrive. “We will be able to take stock of these trees and be able to generate more income for companies around the world.
“Many of them are willing to partner with regions like this in exchange for Green Development to participate in industrial development that is not going to create further carbon emission, creating more global warming and also be able to improve the health and well-being of the inhabitants of the region alongside the Development they are going to face.”
Chairman of RGP Microfinance Bank Engr. Sunny Dressman applauded Tantita Security Services Limited for the wonderful work the company is doing. He also commended the company for its efforts to make the communities a better place for all.
For more social and economic benefits to the Niger Delta region, Captain Enisuoh advocated for the establishment and utilization of carbon streaming to generate income for the communities.
“You cannot remove social economic problems from security issues. We are also here to market how carbon streaming, carbon credit, and carbon capture can generate a lot of money for the communities so that they can take their taste bud off the crude oil pipelines, which is more or less damaging to the environment and creating a reduction in lifespan.”

He affirmed that Tantita will continue to tackle the scourge of illegal bunkering through a comprehensive and inclusive strategy aimed at not only halting the illegal activities of crude oil theft but also educating and engaging those involved in the nefarious activities.
