Similarly, the Abia State Lottery Board will be chaired by Owobe Ikechukwu Chikezie, while Ikechukwu Ndubuisi Ngwu was appointed Managing Director. Other members include Munachiso Eze Nwosuegbe Esq., Mr. Emeka Chionye, and Mrs. Chibuzo Ehiemere.

Governor Otti, through his spokesman, emphasized that the appointments align with his administration’s vision of building a modern, accountable, and prosperous Abia State, particularly through sustainable road infrastructure development and institutional strengthening.

The constitution of the road-related boards comes as the government prepares to commission another major infrastructure project in the state.

Meanwhile, the State Government has announced that the Igwu River Bridge, popularly known as the Omenuko Bridge, will be commissioned on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the bridge site.

In a separate statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the government described the bridge as a critical infrastructure project designed to enhance rural connectivity, stimulate economic revitalisation, and promote inclusive development.

The commissioning will be followed by a Grand Civic Reception in honour of Governor Otti at Abam High School, Ozu Abam, at 11:00 a.m., in recognition of what the organisers described as his transformative leadership and developmental strides across the state.

The Governor is also scheduled to participate in a distinguished lecture and reception in Umuahia to mark the 70th birthday of former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Onyeabor Ihejirika (Rtd.).

The government said traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders, and members of the public are invited to participate in the events marking the twin celebrations of infrastructure delivery and national service.
