Deploy the 774,000 special youth recruits into agricultural farmlands – Prof Ibiyemi

Professor Samuel Adeniyi Ibiyemi has called on the Federal Government to deploy all the proposed Special Works Programm 774,000 youth recruits into agricultural farmlands for agricultural development, food security and wealth creation.

In an open letter to President Muhammad Buhari made available to newsmen in Ilorin, Ibiyemi called on governments at all levels to deploy these youths to agricultural farmlands, most especially Moringa plantation.

Ibiyemi, a retired professor of Organic Chemistry, University of Ilorin and coordinator of three Non- Governmental Organizations- Moringa Development Association (MDA), Ruminant and Livestock Development Cooperative Society (RLDCS), and Cultural and Societal Values Development Initiative (CSVDI) averred that Moringa would be ready for harvest within 100 days of its planting and could be harvested about five to six times in a year.
