Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State is been worried by the absence of a Federal Secretariat in the state.

He disclosed this when Mr. Henry Ogbulogo, a Commissioner representing Abia State in the Federal Character Commission, who was on a working visit in the state , paid him a working visit.

Ikpeazu enjoined the commissioner to enlist in the call for a Federal Secretariat in the state, adding that its absence indicates lack of federal presence in the state.

The Governor also expressed worry that despite Abia being an oil producing state, none of the oil companies operating in the state resides in Abia but prefer to operate from outside the state where they pay their taxes.
