Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) and the Nigerian Merchant Navy Officers have commiserated with the family of a former Shippers’ Council boss, Captain Adamu Biu over the death of their son.

A statement signed by the National President, Engineer Bob Yousuo, noted that Late Biu left a huge vacuum that would be difficult to fill, insisting that he will be greatly missed by the maritime stakeholders

The statement said that the renowned Shippers Council Executive Secretary would be missed for his numerous contributions to the industry, both in NCS and as a master mariner

The statement  noted that Late Biu left a huge vacuum that would take a longer period to fill, adding that he will be greatly missed by the maritime stakeholders.

The former Executive Secretary, of the Council died on Monday at the age of 70.

He was the third and immediate past Executive Secretary/CEO of NSC and served two terms from 2004-2012.
