APC Primaries: Gov Badaru inaugurates committee, as mass defection looms

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Jigawa State has inaugurated a 27-member reconciliation committee over the just concluded party’s primary elections.

Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar approved the inauguration of the committee.

The committee is saddled with the responsibility of contacting all aggrieved aspirants and party members over the outcome of the just concluded primary elections.

This is coming days after some APC and PDP bigwigs were seen in a meeting hosted by the Jigawa NNPP leader, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim at his private residence in Kano.

Among the top politicians are three gubernatorial aspirants: Sen. Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, former Deputy Governor, Ahmad Muhammad and Bashir Adamu Jumbo.

Others include former member House of Representatives, Hon. Gausu Boyi Ringim, member State Assembly, Hon. Sule Musa Dutse, former Chairman of Dutse, Bala Yakubu Yargaba, among other top PDP and APC supporters.

The reconciliation committee, which is under the leadership of Senator Bello Maitama is to prevent mass defection of aggrieved members ahead of the 2023 general election
