The incident, according to a source, took place on Monday at 7 pm.

Konga was reportedly kidnapped alongside two others while on his way from Akwanga town, the headquarters of Akwanga Local Government Area. He was returning to his home in Andaha where he lives with his family.
The source, who spoke anonymously, explained that the kidnappers mounted a roadblock on the Akwanga-Jos highway, between Ningo village and Andaha.

: “They mounted a roadblock and opened fire on travellers, then our brother ran into them and they whisked him away, alongside Mallam Sule Coach, who works with Primary Health Care Department and one other person. They killed a Hilux driver who also ran into them.”

He said the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded two million naira.
