The ICPC Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner in Osun State, Mr. Demola Bakare, disclosed this on Wednesday at an event in Ede to mark this year’s African Union Anti-Corruption Day.

In his presentation titled, ‘Scorecard: Highlight of the Commission’s Achievement in the fight against Corruption in Nigeria,’ Bakare said the recoveries were made through funds restrained, tax intervention, cash recovered from domiciliary accounts, rent received from some properties forfeited to the government, budget tracking and cash in other accounts, among others.

He said, “We have also within the time under review investigated 4,737 cases, secured 90 convictions, and tracked 3,422 projects under the constituency and project tracking initiative.”

The Controller of Correction of the Nigeria Correctional Service in the state, Tolu Ogunsakin,  urged the youth to be persons of integrity.

Speaking in a similar vein, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, admonished the participants to instill integrity in the younger generation.
