Two brothers remanded in Kwara for allegedly killing uncle

A Magistrate’s Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, has remanded two suspects in prison custody in connection with the alleged murder of their uncle.

They are Musa Aliyu and Idris Aliyu, both residents of Kaiama, in Kaiama Local Government of the State.

The suspects allegedly murdered their 54-year-old uncle, Muhammed Abubakar, according to a police report.

Reports said the father of the two suspects returned home only to discover the lifeless body of his younger brother.

The Kwara State police command charged the two suspects before the Magistrate’s court in Ilorin, the State capital.

Police Prosecutor, Gbenga Ayeni, urged the court to remand the suspects pending the completion of investigation into the matter.

In his ruling, trial Magistrate A.A. Isah remanded the suspects and adjourned the case till November 1, 2023.
