Isyaku Mohammed resumes as CP Osun Command

A new Commissioner of Police, Isyaku Mohammed, has assumed office at the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo.

This was disclosed by the Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, in a statement released on Friday.

The statement revealed that CP Mohammed, prior to his deployment to Osun, served as the CP in charge of Police Account and Budget at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Opalola also confirmed that Mohammed assumed office on Friday, November 10, 2023.

The statement that CP Mohammed was “appointed into the Nigeria Police Force in August 1996 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (Cadet ASP).”

“The Commissioner of Police holds an M.Sc in Business Administration, an M.Sc in Strategic Studies and Security Administration, and a B.Sc in Accounting. He is also a Fellow of the Certified National Accountant of Nigeria (FCNA).

“CP Isyaku Mohammed has served in various capacities in different states across the country, including the FCT, Abuja. He is a dedicated professional who, since joining the Force, has excelled in departments critical to the Nigeria Police, such as Administration, Operations, and Investigations.

“CP Isyaku served last as the CP Police Account and Budget at the Force Headquarters in Abuja before being transferred to this Police Command,” the statement concluded.

Opalola added that his deployment to the Osun State Police Command follows the recent retirement of the former Commissioner of Police, AIG Patrick Kehinde Longe.
