Israeli investors visit Imo, ready to invest in a number projects

A delegation of Israeli investors recently visited Imo State and held discussions with the Executive Governor of the state, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on how to explore investments and commercial opportunities in the state.

Speaking during his discussions with the Israeli consortium of investors at the government house Owerri, Governor Hope Uzodinma, restated the readiness of his government to partner with them to boost commercial activities, industrialization, employment opportunities for youths and the economic development of the state. He noted that Imo State is endowed with vast natural resources and human capital, including good climate and arable land for agricultural development, gas and petroleum deposits, with thriving eco-tourism and entertainment industry, health care industry, amongst others. He further assured the investors of the commitment and support of his administration for the realization and success of their investments desire in the state.

Lsreali Consortium of investors and president/CEO, Nibor Enterprises lsreal Ltd, Engr. Eyal Elimelech, expressed the appreciation of the team for the great hospitality extended to them by Governor Uzodinma and members of his cabinet. He stated that the delegation was part of a larger delegation that would soon arrive Imo state from Israel to sign Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the state government . He stated that the business delegation, would be ready to invest in diverse sectors in the state, particularly in mechanized agriculture, construction of affordable mass housing schemes, construction of roads, building of a world class hospital, etc. Speaking in the same vein, the Africa Representative of the Israeli consortium and president/CEO of Ojim Royal Investment & Property Ltd, Chief Ukachukwu Kingsley Okoronkwo Jp, stated that the various projects development been proposed by the investors would provide massive employments, and opportunities for the training of thousands of skilled and unskilled teeming youths in state. While highlighting on some of the projects been planned for Imo State by the Israeli investors, Okoronkwo said that the consortium would be establishing modern agro allied / Green Field projects- integrated with the bests of innovative Israeli technologies covering vast areas in agricultural development. Other sectors being targeted for investment by the consortium include, sewage and water reticulations, building of housing estates and establishment of modern agri- industrial center development, as well as the rehabilitation of the Imo Modern Poultry, Avutu.
